As I spent time in prayerful reflection writing this, I felt convicted. Everyone always talks about counting your blessings, but how often do we actually sit down and realize everything that God has done for each and every one of us? With all that is going on given the current status of the world, it is very easy to get distracted. I heard this saying a while ago, “God can’t be your peace if the world is your anchor.” I’ve noticed that the more time I spend in prayer, focusing on eternal life and counting my blessings, the more peaceful I seem to feel. Our world is constantly changing. Our world is always moving, but that doesn’t always mean that our world is moving in the direction that it needs to, and it is important to sit down and focus on the direction that we want our lives to go.
A Reminder
As Luke stated in the Gospel “Whatever house you enter, stay there and leave from there. And as for those who do not welcome you, when you leave that town, shake the dust from your feet in testimony against them. Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.” Today’s Gospel was a great reminder for me that my calling is not just to live here on Earth. My calling is to lead souls to heaven while I am here on Earth, regardless of who follows my lead. Sometimes using our voices and proclaiming the Gospel is going to push people away, but if it reaches even just one person, it is worth it.
A Calling
Wherever you live in this world, whatever your income is, whatever title you may hold, we all share the same calling; to be apostles. We are called to lead others to our beloved Savior in Heaven. As we go through the unpredictable future of our lives, I want to challenge you all to become and strive for Sainthood while you’re here on Earth. Let us strive to become the best Catholics we can be. Do not let the ways of the world determine your attitude. Choose to spend your time and efforts on what matters the most, Heaven above.

more and more I live in this word, I go back to my early feeling about it when I was born and raised in this world. I was very stand offish and did not trust people very much and I loved going to Church and listen to the Latin Rite Mass. I got to be more friendly as I grow up but today I watch people before I put my trust in them. most people seem to be more talk and their action say something totally different. sad. I have learn again to trust GOD and I am started to say my rosary again since I was forced to retire. I see it as a good thing. because I do not have to take the vaccine which I question a lot as to the goodness of it and the real purpose of it. Now I can spend time conversing with Heaven and keeping my life line around the BEACON OF LIGHT in this stormy ocean and that BEACON is CHRIST
